Plan Your Engagement Photos in Tennessee | A Peek Inside My Favorite Locations

Harlinsdale Farm: Franklin, TN
Vibe: Laid-back, golden fields, classic Tennessee beauty!
Distance from Nashville: Around 30 minutes
Perfect for: Casual, playful couples, and sunset lovers
Why I love it: It’s one of those places that feels easy and romantic in the best way. The wide open fields are perfect for movement-based prompts, think running toward each other, dancing barefoot, or cozying up on a blanket while the sun dips down. There are barns, fences, and even a little pond that give your gallery variety without ever feeling staged!
When to go: Fall is absolutely stunning with tall golden grasses, but honestly, you can’t go wrong year-round.
Accessibility: Parking is easy and most areas are just a short walk from the lot.
Tips: Flowy dresses and earthy tones photograph beautifully here. Bring a blanket for seated shots and plan for a golden hour start time!

Edwin Warner Park: Nashville, TN
Vibe: Woodsy, peaceful, and romantic
Distance from Nashville: Around 15 minutes from downtown
Perfect for: Nature lovers and cozy fall sessions!
Why I love it: Tucked into the trees with winding trails and golden light, Edwin Warner feels like a private getaway without leaving the city. It’s quiet, calm, and gives us those deep greens and soft glows that just feel like fall or spring love.
When to go: Spring for fresh green and wildflowers, fall for rich tones and soft light!
Accessibility: Flat trails and open spaces make it easy to walk and shoot in.
Tips: Layered neutrals, boots, and even a blanket shawl look amazing here. Great spot if you want a more low-key vibe!

Leiper’s Fork: Franklin, TN
Vibe: Whimsical, small-town beauty with vintage flair
Distance from Nashville: Around 45 minutes
Perfect for: Artistic couples, lovers of all things rustic & storybook
Why I love it: Leiper’s Fork is like a secret little slice of Tennessee magic. It’s all vintage shops, hidden backroads, open fields, and eclectic details. We can wander through town, pop by a quirky front porch, or find a quiet field to watch the sunset.
When to go: Late spring through early fall for the best light and color.
Accessibility: Scattered locations, we’ll drive and walk a bit between spots.
Tips: This is the place to go all in on creative styling! Think flowy dresses, statement hats, or even a styled picnic.

Narrows of the Harpeth: Kingston Springs, TN
Vibe: Adventurous, scenic, secluded
Distance from Nashville: Around 45 minutes
Perfect for: Outdoorsy couples who don’t mind a little hike
Why I love it: The view from the bluff? INSANE. This is hands-down one of the most underrated engagement photo locations in TN. It gives “you and me against the world” in the most romantic way. Plus, the riverbend, cliffs, and tree-lined trails create a cinematic feel.
When to go: Fall for dreamy light and fewer bugs, but spring and early summer are also stunning!
Accessibility: 15–20 min moderate hike uphill. Wear comfy shoes to start, then change at the top!
Tips: Bring water and wear layers!

Long Hunter State Park: Hermitage, TN
Vibe: Lakeside serenity, dreamy light, natural textures
Distance from Nashville: Around 30 minutes
Perfect for: Couples who want a little bit of everything water, woods, fields
Why I love it: There’s something about this place that just feels peaceful. From piney paths to glassy water views, Long Hunter gives us a ton of variety in one session. It’s the kind of spot where you can breathe deeply, move slow, and just be present together.
When to go: Sunrise or sunset, the light is magic during both!
Accessibility: Easy trails, plenty of parking, and wide open space to shoot.
Tips: Neutral, breezy outfits pair perfectly with the textures of water and trees. Bring two looks if you want to dress it up and down.

The Parthenon: Nashville, TN
Vibe: Bold, editorial, clean lines
Distance from Nashville: Right in Centennial Park
Perfect for: Chic city couples, modern outfits, formal looks
Why I love it: There’s nothing quite like those iconic columns. It’s a totally different vibe from nature-based spots, perfect if you’re going for that editorial, almost Vogue-style session. Plus, the surrounding park gives us a few softer spots too.
When to go: Weekdays are best to avoid crowds.
Accessibility: Right off the main roads with nearby parking.

Cheekwood Estate & Gardens: Nashville, TN
Vibe: Romantic, curated and elegant
Distance from Nashville: Around 20 minutes
Perfect for: Couples who want a luxury garden feel or something truly timeless
Why I love it: Cheekwood is like stepping into a European garden dream. With curated flowers, fountains, and stately architecture, it’s definitely the spot if you’re going for an elegant or elevated look. BUT, it does come with a couple logistics to know.
When to go: Spring and early summer are peak bloom seasons, but it’s stunning year-round.
Accessibility: Easy walking, beautiful curated paths.
Permit info: Requires weekday-only bookings and a $400 photography fee (on top of my session rate)
