As a Tennessee Wedding and Elopement Photographer, I’m so lucky to be able to photograph so many beautiful places in Tennessee. It’s important to me that whenever I work with my couples, especially for their Tennessee engagement photos, we find an engagement location that is reflective of what they want. Finding a location that reflects their personalities and makes for the dreamiest of engagement photos. In this case, Kera and Brent wanted to focus on the great outdoors with beautiful forest views. Harpeth River State Park is a hidden gem location for engagement photos and was the perfect place to have Kera and Brent’s Harpeth River State Park engagement photos.
Harpeth River State Park | Cheatham County, Tennessee
Sitting in Cheatham County, Tennessee is a stunning state park called Harpeth River State Park. Sitting alongside the Harpeth River, this state park has it all. From rolling hills to cliffs and mountains to trickling rivers. Harpeth River State Park is a beautiful engagement location if you’re looking for a little bit of everything. Luckily for Kera & Brent, it was just what they were looking for.
Kera & Brent’s Harpeth River State Park Engagement Photos
When it comes to your engagement photos, you want to make sure that you are working with a wedding photographer whom you feel comfortable with. This is often something that is overlooked, however, can play a dramatic impact on the end results of your images! Hate to break it to ya, but uncomfortableness shows on camera! For Kera and Brent, it was important that these engagement photos are a true reflection of them and their story. You want to be able to look back at your engagement photos and remember this special time in your lives. While the clouds were definitely prominent this day, it actually makes for some of the best and most even lighting for your photos.
One of my favorite locations at Harpeth River State Park is off the Narrows of the Harpeth trail. This trail is a popular hiking and walking trail and takes about 29 minutes to complete roundtrip. While you will have to do a bit of work to get to this beautiful spot, the views are 100% worth it. In my opinion. Beneath us were little coves of water from the Harpith River. So with a quick outfit change, we headed towards the water to cool off for the remainder of their session. We kept things playful and fun which I think is a true representation of the love that Kera & Brent have for one another.
